Schedule: Monday thru Friday (7:00am to 3:30pm)

Education: High School Diploma Required (2- or 4-year Degree is a plus)

Background: Candidates MUST pass a background Check & Drug Test

IMPORTANT: Candidates must be clean-shaven or have very low facial hair to be fitted for a Respirator.

IMPORTANT: Candidate must have at least 2 years’ experience working in a lab. Candidate must also pass a Color Test.

Job Description:

Primary Responsibilities

• Understands product lines used for color matching.
• Responsible for implementing the color matching process:
• Matches color and gloss to customer requested samples.
• Matches technology to expected performance.
• Inputs formulas and calculates physical ratios.
• Creates and properly labels standards.
• Creates and properly labels customer samples.
• Sends final samples to customers for approval.
• Obtains raw materials and supplies from the production area.
• Utilizes general laboratory equipment.
• Performs testing to ensure products meet customer demands.
• Adheres to health, safety and environmental principles and procedures.
• Understanding and follows Axalta quality policies.
  
  

Qualifications

• HS Diploma Required, Degree Preferred
• Can work independently and pass a color test.
• Ideal candidate will have at least 2-3 years of experience in the chemical industry and experience in coatings is highly preferred, but not required.
• Candidate must be proficient in with MS Office
