Job Description
The Lab Technician is responsible for handling raw materials, intermediate, and marketed products in compliance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and company standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Responsibilities
- Receive and process daily raw materials including both GMP and Non-GMP items according to SOPs.
- Monitor and manage departmental supplies, requesting orders as necessary.
- Distribute materials to applicable departments and maintain an orderly and clean warehouse.
- Perform cycle counts and inventory management tasks.
- Build and deliver plasma pools to manufacturing, ensuring proper storage in the freezer area.
- Conduct preventative maintenance weekly and check temperature charts daily.
- Adhere to all safety standards and perform data entry into networked systems, including SAP and Microsoft Office.
- Maintain accurate temperature logs for the warehouse.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in PC and office application software.
- Knowledge of automated shipping and inventory systems.
- SAP experience preferred.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Familiarity with internal SOPs and cGMP requirements.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Some college education preferred.
- Pharmaceutical experience preferred.
Work Environment
The role involves frequent trips to the freezer area (2-8°C) and clean room ante room. The shift is from 5 PM to 1 AM. Desk work comprises 10-15% of the time, involving computer operations and report preparation. Physical activities such as standing, kneeling, climbing, lifting, pulling, and carrying materials weighing up to 75 pounds are required. Occasional after-hours and weekend work may be necessary. The environment may include exposure to airborne particles, chemicals, fumes, and other typical conditions of a manufacturing, laboratory, or warehouse setting. Occasional travel for training and to offsite warehouses by personal automobile or company vehicle is expected.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.
