BioTalent is delighted to be partnered with a leading Pharmaceutical Manufacturing based in Switzerland and we are on the hunt for a brand-new Laboratory Scientist to join the team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Independently execute potency assays using binding (e.g., ELISA, SPR) and functional assays (e.g., CBA, enzyme assays) based on draft method SOPs.
• Perform buffer preparation, data analysis, and ensure timely and accurate documentation following Good Documentation Practices (GDocP) and EHS regulations.
• Conduct method development, troubleshooting, and non-GMP drug product batch release, formulation, and stability testing.
• Review and approve basic operational tasks completed by peers, such as buffer preparation and equipment calibration.
• Draft and contribute to general lab documentation, including method SOPs, pre-validation protocols, and establishment reports.
• Actively participate in investigations and troubleshooting for laboratory methods and equipment, proposing and implementing mitigation measures.
• Maintain a clean and audit-ready workspace by adhering to 6S and GDP standards.

Key Requirements:

• Apprenticeship, BSc, MSc, or equivalent experience in Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Microbiology, or a related field.
• Preferably 5 years of cumulative experience in a research or technical role within the pharmaceutical or biochemical industry.
• Strong background in reporting, interpretation, and documentation of scientific results.
• Experience with laboratory software (e.g., Electronic Lab Notebook, LIMS, SoftMax Pro, PLA, DMS) is an advantage.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Proficient in written and spoken English.
• Flexible work environment with the possibility of 1 day per week working from home.
