Lab Technician - Material Science
Responsibilities
* Manage technical service requests, including documentation and communication.
* Conduct routine and complex tests and analyses with precision.
* Maintain laboratory equipment and supplies, ensuring lab cleanliness.
* Execute application and laboratory test plans to support material and process characterizations.
* Adapt to a dynamic work environment with shifting priorities.
* Communicate effectively with colleagues, suppliers, and customers.
* Solve problems independently with minimal supervision.
* Contribute to quality improvement and cost-saving initiatives.
* Adhere to safety, health, and environmental regulations.
Essential Skills
* Proficiency in Chemistry and Laboratory techniques.
* Knowledge of materials science.
* Experience in prepping and mixing raw materials.
* Familiarity with process control and sample preparation.
* Skill in adhesive and tensile testing.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
* Associate Degree in Scientific Discipline or similar (Materials Science and Chemistry preferred).
* Hands-on experience with material testing, sample preparation, and mixing raw materials.
* 1-3 years of experience in adhesives or coatings.
* Hands-on experience with tensile testing, pressure sensitivity testing, peel testing, melting, and mixing plastics.
* Experience with managing or running a project independently.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $28.00/hr.
