Job Title: Lab Technician - CNC

Location: Mahindra University, Hyderabad

Experience: 2 to 3 years

Job Description:

We are seeking a Lab Technician to support the CNC Laboratory by assisting in lab sessions, maintaining equipment, and ensuring smooth operations. The role involves setting up experiments, helping students with practical applications, and troubleshooting lab instruments.

Technical skills:

1.      Ability to program and operate CNC lathe and CNC milling machine using G-code

2.      Familiarity with Fanuc controls

3.      Ability to operate manual lathe, manual milling machine, and manual drilling machine

4.      Familiarity with bench work such as filing

5.      Experienced in using measuring instruments such as micrometers, Vernier calipers, dial indicators, Vee-blocks, sine bar, and gage blocks

6.      Familiar with workshop calculations

Educational qualifications: 

1.      Diploma in mechanical engineering preferred

2.      ITI qualification in any machinist trade, such as turner, is also acceptable

3.      B. Tech. is over-qualified – need not apply

Non-technical skills:

1.      Should be able to read, write, and speak English.

2.      Knowledge of Hindi or Telugu is preferred.

3.      Should be able to work on the Windows software environment for writing e-mails, etc.
