The Key Account Manager is responsible for managing sales in the assigned geographic territory and generating new business opportunities that will meet and exceed growth objectives with a primary focus on Key Accounts in the device manufacturer automation market.


Duties of the position include but are not limited to:

  • Operate as the primary point of contact for key account stakeholders.
  • Develop a trusted advisory relationship with accounts, customer stakeholders and internal partners.
  • Solving customer challenges by leveraging the Anybus product families (and possible future additions) with a primary focus on our direct customers, primarily device manufacturers, within the assigned territory. This role requires the individual to be competent in industrial automation application engineering, IIoT applications, and technical sales.
  • Creation, refinement, and execution of annual sales strategy for the assigned territory, ensuring achievement of individual and organizational goals and objectives. This strategy is submitted to your manager each year for review and feedback.
  • Achieving sales quotas and assigned strategic account objectives.
  • Generating technical sales proposals and contracts.
  • Driving specification and usage of the Anybus® product families requires the individual to be competent in digital hardware and microprocessor development or embedded software development; along with industrial Ethernet and TCP/IP communication protocol knowledge (EtherNet/IP, Profinet, etc.).
  • Managing active customer accounts and identifying new opportunities within those accounts.
  • Identifying prospect accounts and making sales calls.
  • Managing and interpreting customer requirements - speaking with customers to understand, anticipate and meet their needs.
  • Maintaining records of customer communication and sales activity in our CRM and establishing internal communication systems.
  • Developing account management plans to grow our business within large accounts, including large-volume custom product development sales.
  • Maintaining a high degree of technical knowledge to allow in-depth technical presentations and discussions with customers and partners.
  • Representing the company at industry events and meetings.
  • Other projects as assigned by your manager.


*This position requires approximately 50% travel*.
