Summary
The Component Account Representative plays a key role in supporting customers and coordinating across internal departments including Sales, Design, and Production — with a specific focus on truss and wall panel projects. This position manages project timelines, estimating needs, and field support while ensuring clear communication and collaboration between all stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of blueprint reading, component design (trusses and wall panels), and basic construction practices. Proficiency with Mitek software is preferred; experience with Alpine is also acceptable. Success in this role requires excellent organizational skills, strong communication, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned customers throughout the project lifecycle.
- Coordinate with Sales, Design, Production, and Shipping departments to ensure timely and accurate project execution.
- Manage project schedules, monitor progress, and proactively communicate updates or changes to customers and internal teams.
- Review and interpret construction blueprints and architectural plans to ensure project alignment with customer expectations.
- Support estimating by gathering project details, confirming scope, and collaborating with design teams on accurate takeoffs.
- Assist with scheduling deliveries and coordinating field support as needed.
- Provide clear, consistent communication between the customer and internal departments to resolve issues and maintain project momentum.
- Track project status and maintain records in internal systems to ensure alignment with workflow and production goals.
- Work closely with design teams using Mitek (preferred) or Alpine software to understand component design and provide feedback or clarification to customers.
- Participate in meetings or site visits as needed to support customer relationships and ensure quality expectations are met.
- Maintain a high level of product knowledge related to trusses, wall panels, and construction practices to effectively support both internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in component design and manufacturing,
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, construction drawings, and project specifications.
- Working knowledge of Mitek software preferred; experience with Alpine is acceptable.
- Strong understanding of truss and wall panel design concepts and basic construction practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to collaborate effectively across departments and with customers.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word) and experience with ERP or project management systems is a plus.
- High attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
Physical Demands
- This position requires a combination of office-based work and on-site visits to construction projects and production facilities.
- Regularly required to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods throughout the workday.
- Must be able to lift, carry, push, or pull materials and documents up to 25 pounds occasionally.
- Frequent use of hands and arms for typing, writing, handling materials, and operating a computer or tablet device.
- May require bending, stooping, reaching, climbing stairs, or kneeling when reviewing materials, inspecting product on the production floor, or navigating job sites.
- Must have sufficient visual acuity to read construction drawings, blueprints, and technical documentation.
- Requires the ability to clearly communicate in person, over the phone, and in written form with internal teams, customers, and field personnel.
- Visits to active construction sites are a routine part of the role; appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn, and all site-specific and company safety protocols must be followed.
- Must be comfortable working outdoors and exposed to varying weather conditions while on-site.

In addition to the base wage listed, this position is further eligible to receive commission compensation for earned commissions related to sales of eligible Company products and/or services subject to changes in plan design and documents and in accordance with applicable law. Commissions are based on a percentage of the transactions sold and subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable Commission Agreement.
