Key Accounts Manager – Job Description

Position Overview: The Key Accounts Manager (KAM) is responsible for managing and nurturing KITCI’s relationships with key clients. This position requires an individual who is skilled in sales, customer relationship management, and cross-department coordination. The KAM will drive business growth, improve client satisfaction, and support the company's strategic objectives in the construction industry.


Key Responsibilities:


Client Relationship Management:


  • Develop and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key accounts.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for high-value clients, ensuring their needs are met and expectations exceeded.
  • Handle and resolve client complaints, objections, and concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Sales and Business Development:
  • Identify and pursue new sales opportunities within both existing and new construction accounts.
  • Set up meetings with key decision-makers and potential clients to demonstrate the full range of construction systems and solutions offered by KITCI.
  • Negotiate and close sales deals that align with client needs while meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Work collaboratively with the estimation team to provide competitive bids for potential projects.


Market Expansion:


  • Support KITCI’s efforts to expand its market presence through proactive engagement with key accounts and stakeholders.
  • Track industry trends and competitive landscape to identify new business opportunities.
  • Coordination and Team Collaboration:
  • Input and update client and sales-related information into KITCI’s management systems for accurate tracking and reporting.
  • Work closely with the supply officers to ensure that stock levels meet the requirements for both sales and product demonstrations.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to amplify KITCI’s marketing efforts and ensure consistent messaging to clients and prospects.


Brand Representation:


  • Represent KITCI at exhibitions, conferences, and other industry events, enhancing the company’s visibility and networking with potential clients.
  • Participate in presentations, product demonstrations, and discussions with key industry figures and stakeholders.


Other Duties:

  • Undertake any additional responsibilities or projects as assigned by management to support business objectives.


Qualifications:


  • At least 1 year experience in sales, account management, or business development in the construction or related industries.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to handle and resolve customer concerns in a professional and effective manner.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple client accounts and meet sales targets.
  • Strong organizational and coordination skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally with teams such as supply, estimation, and marketing.
  • Knowledge of construction systems and related industry products.
  • Experience in managing high-value, long-term client relationships.
