JOB PURPOSE


As a Key Account Manager in the Beverage Sector, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth and achieving sales targets through a solution-oriented and KPI-driven approach. You will manage strategic key accounts in the beverage industry—such as major breweries, soft-drink manufacturers, and mineral water producers—by delivering tailored value propositions. This role requires close collaboration with internal stakeholders including Inhouse Sales, Customer Service, Product Marketing, R&D, and Pricing to ensure long-term success and profitability across your portfolio.


YOUR JOB


As Key Account Manager, you will:


  • Manage and develop key accounts in the beverage industry, ensuring growth in sales volume, margin, and customer satisfaction.
  • Identify and capture new business opportunities, with a focus on strategic project-based selling.
  • Build and maintain strong, senior-level customer relationships based on trust, performance, and long-term partnership.
  • Lead the implementation of beverage-specific sales strategies in alignment with overall corporate goals.
  • Negotiate and close sales contracts, while ensuring adherence to pricing and margin guidelines.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to deliver customer-centric solutions and services.
  • Monitor and manage key performance indicators such as sales revenue, pipeline development, customer acquisition and retention, and forecast accuracy.
  • Travel extensively (50–60%) across Germany and selected EU markets to maintain a strong customer presence.


YOUR QUALIFICATIONS


You will definitely have;


  • A minimum of 3 years’ proven B2B sales experience in the beverage industry, preferably working with key beverage manufacturers such as breweries, soft drink producers, and mineral water brands.
  • Demonstrated success in Key Account Management and long-term relationship building.
  • Strong negotiation and sales skills with a track record of achieving or exceeding KPIs.
  • Experience in project-based sales and technical sales presentations.
  • Fluent in German (native level) and English; confident in delivering presentations and leading meetings in both languages.
  • Proactive, self-organized, and able to manage a dynamic sales territory independently.
  • High resilience and adaptability in fast-paced, constantly evolving environments.
  • Team player with international exposure and a willingness to share knowledge and collaborate.
  • Willingness to travel frequently and a valid Category B driving license.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel) and CRM tools such as Salesforce.
  • University degree preferred; minimum secondary education required.
