The Key Account Manager (KAM) will manage a defined portfolio of distributor accounts, serving as the primary point of contact and trusted advisor. This role is responsible for crafting and executing growth strategies, ensuring alignment with business goals, and maximizing sales opportunities. The ideal candidate is skilled at building strong relationships, communication, analyzing market dynamics, and driving results through collaboration and strategic planning.
Account Management
How You Will Help
Serve as the main liaison between ASC Engineered Solutions and assigned distributors, ensuring clear and consistent communication
Develop deep understanding of each distributor's business model, market position, and growth opportunities
Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key stakeholders at distributor organizations
Communicate Opportunities throughout ASC and Rep Agencies while holding stake holders accountable to delivering on the growth activity initiatives.
Growth Strategy Development
Design and implement customized growth strategies tailored to each distributor's unique needs and market conditions
Identify opportunities for product expansion, increased market penetration, and revenue growth within the distributor channel
Collaborate with distributors to create joint business plans that outline objectives, key initiatives, and success metrics
Performance Monitoring & Reporting
Analyze sales data, market trends, and distributor performance to identify areas of improvement and success
Provide regular performance updates and actionable insights to both internal teams, rep agencies, and distributor partners
Forecast sales and track progress against growth targets
Collaboration & Support
Work closely with internal sales,rep agencies, customer service, marketing, and product teams to ensure distributor needs are met and aligned with company objectives
Support distributors with training, marketing resources, and tools to drive their success
Resolve issues and address challenges proactively to maintain strong relationships and achieve mutual goals
Market Analysis & Insights
Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics to provide strategic guidance to distributors
Share market insights with internal teams to influence product development and overall strategy
What You Will Bring
Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred
Proven experience (5+ years) in account management, sales, or business development, preferably with distributors or channel partners
Demonstrated ability to develop and execute growth strategies that deliver measurable results
Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills with the ability to influence and negotiate effectively
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, with proficiency in interpreting sales data and market trends
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Experience with CRM tools, Power BI, Microsoft suite of products, and sales forecasting systems
Willingness to travel as required to build and maintain relationships with distributors, estimated at 70%
