Teaching at Te Aho o Te Kura Pounamu
At Te Aho o Te Kura Pounamu (Te Kura), our Kaiako engage with ākonga both online and face-to-face. As part of the role, you will facilitate Huinga Ako (Learning Advisories) once a week, alongside working closely with colleagues in our regional offices. We also provide flexible working options, allowing up to two days per week of work-from-home arrangements.
Mō tēnei tūranga mahi | About this position
This is an amazing opportunity to teach our New Zealand Year 1-10 students who are living overseas. There is flexibility with this position, but we are interested to know your experience teaching across, Year 1-8 or Year 7-10.
We are looking for a creative, innovative Kaiako (teacher) who is experienced teaching across the curriculum levels to join our team in the Wellington office.
In This Role, You'll
- Design and deliver personalised, authentic learning programmes tailored to the strengths and needs of ākonga.
- Facilitate weekly Huinga Ako, guiding and supporting students through their educational journeys.
- Collaborate with colleagues and interact with students online and in person to foster meaningful learning experiences.

Your willingness to learn, innovate, work collaboratively, and build relationships, along with a sound knowledge of the New Zealand Curriculum and assessment requirements are essential.
This role requires someone who, is willing to learn, and is a problem solver, model innovative, future-focused pedagogies that engage and inspire ākonga.
