Kafka DevOps Engineer Role Overview: We are looking for a skilled engineer to develop and manage infrastructure as code (IaC), software development, and system administration in a Linux environment. This role involves working with Confluent Kafka, Terraform, Kubernetes, and AWS to build and maintain scalable, secure infrastructure. Key Responsibilities: * Manage the full lifecycle of the Kafka platform, including design, implementation, monitoring, and troubleshooting. * Automate platform operations using Ansible, Python, or similar tools. * Optimize Kafka performance in AWS environments. * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop scalable data solutions. * Participate in on-call rotations to ensure system reliability. Required Skills & Experience: * Expertise in Kafka, Kafka Connect, KSQL, and KStreams. * Hands-on experience with Confluent Kafka, Schema Registry, and Kubernetes. * Strong background in AWS (EC2, IAM, S3, RDS, Lambda, EKS, VPC). * Proficiency in Terraform, Ansible, and scripting (Python, Shell). * Experience troubleshooting complex systems and optimizing performance. * Understanding of networking, security, and cloud infrastructure. * 3+ years of AWS DevOps experience and Python development. Preferred: * Certifications in Confluent Kafka and/or Kubernetes.
