About the position

We are seeking an enthusiastic Junior Reporting Analyst to join our small data team. The team works across the business to deliver analysis and insights critical to operational and strategic decision-making.

We are looking for a flexible, detail-oriented team player who is passionate about technology, data, and analytics. This role will involve creating new insights, dashboards, data pipelines, and data models, as well as helping improve and maintain existing content.

Key Responsibilities

• Extract, organise and synthesise data analysis from multiple systems and sources to uncover learnings and trends that provide value to the organisation
• Design, build and maintain interactive BI dashboards and reports and present the findings to multiple stakeholders
• Create and maintain key metrics reporting on marketing, sales and finance activities and effectiveness, including responding to ad-hoc queries
• Support the team in maintaining data integrity and data quality across the analytics platform
• Work and collaborate across teams, communicating findings and solutions clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Proactively analyse data to identify opportunities, detect emerging issues and inform strategic decision making.

About you

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficient using Microsoft Office suite, including Excel, and programming languages such as SQL, Python, and VBA
• Proficient in data visualisation tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau)
• Desirable experience or knowledge in cloud-based data solutions, e.g. Azure Data Factory, SQL Server, Azure Analysis Service
• Ability to communicate findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
• Able to work autonomously, manage pressure, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment
• Open-minded, curious, and not afraid to ask “why” or suggest alternatives
• Good written and verbal communication
• Comfortable adapting to change and growing with the business
• Degree and/or Tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering or relevant fields
