Junior Estimator - Commercial Interiors

Are you analytical, detail-oriented, and eager to break into the world of construction estimating? We're looking for a Junior Estimator to join our dynamic preconstruction team focused on commercial interiors - including high-end office, retail, and institutional fit-outs across NYC.

This is an ideal role for someone with 1-3 years of relevant experience who wants to work alongside senior estimators and project executives to help shape competitive, well-coordinated bids from day one.

📊 What You'll Do

• Assist in quantity takeoffs and pricing across all trades (architectural, finishes, MEP, etc.) for interior renovation and fit-out projects.

• Support the preparation of detailed estimates at various design phases (conceptual, schematic, DD, CD).

• Help maintain cost databases, subcontractor bid lists, and historical pricing records.

• Participate in bid solicitations, scope reviews, and subcontractor leveling.

• Collaborate with project management and field teams to understand logistics, phasing, and constructability concerns.

• Review architectural and engineering drawings for accuracy, scope, and value engineering opportunities.
  
  

🎯 What We're Looking For

• 1-3 years of estimating experience at a general contractor, subcontractor, or construction management firm.

• Strong understanding of construction documents, drawings, and specifications.

• Familiarity with commercial interiors - office, retail, healthcare, or institutional work preferred.

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.

• Basic knowledge of estimating tools (e.g. Bluebeam, On-Screen Takeoff, Planswift) and Excel.

• Curious, organized, and eager to learn from a collaborative team of builders.
