Responsibilities


Using mathematical modeling, statistical analysis, and mathematical optimization you will play an important role in the development of efficient solutions to address decision-making problems.


  • As a data scientist you will be responsible for:
  • Solve business problems by leveraging data and analytics
  • Analyze large amounts of data and be able to identify patterns, trends and other data behaviors
  • Perform ad-hoc analysis to support business needs
  • Identify opportunities and deliver optimized solutions that meet defined goals and requirements
  • Develop and implement mathematical models and algorithms to address complex business challenges, such as resource allocation, scheduling, supply chain optimization, and more.
  • Design, implement, and test optimization algorithms using software tools and programming languages like Python or specialized optimization software.


You May Have

  • PhD or MSc. in a numerate subject is preferred e.g. Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Science, Operations Research
  • Experience in advanced data analysis, visualization and algorithm development
  • Experience in mathematical optimization algorithms and metaheuristics is a plus
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills, with a deep understanding of optimization theory and techniques.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or C++.
  • Experience with optimization software packages (e.g., Gurobi, CPLEX, MOSEK) is a plus.
  • Expertise in mining large & complex data sets - both structured and unstructured data and including (but not limited to) efficient extraction of data, transformation and application
  • Culture of analytical ‘curiosity’ through innovative, data driven insights on business questions
  • Solve business problems by leveraging data and analytics
