We are seeking a motivated
Junior Data Engineer to join our dynamic data team. The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of experience working with SQL code and a solid understanding of SQL Server, Azure, and Snowflake. This role involves building and maintaining data pipelines, optimizing database performance, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality data solutions as well as working with subject matter experts to design and deliver outputs (Dashboards, Reports, Visualizations) to meet the needs of the business and ensure compliance with government regulations.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain efficient and scalable data pipelines using SQL.
- Write, optimize, and troubleshoot complex SQL queries to support data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes.
- Collaborate with data analysts and other stakeholders to understand data needs and deliver accurate solutions.
- Manage and maintain databases on SQL Server, ensuring data integrity, security, and performance.
- Work within cloud environments (Azure and Snowflake) to implement data storage and processing solutions.
- Support data migration initiatives between on-premises and cloud environments.
- Document data processes, architecture, and workflows to ensure transparency and knowledge sharing.
- Assist in monitoring and optimizing data pipeline performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
- Development of Reports and Visualizations based on requirements from Multiple Business areas.
- Lead/Collaborate in the Design, Development and Maintenance of Dashboards used by Senior Management and Center Leaders to make business decisions.
- Interfacing with Key Business Leaders to Deliver Reports and Visualizations and Support Data Represented.
Required Qualifications
- 2-3 years of hands-on experience with SQL coding, including writing and optimizing queries.
- Experience working with SQL Server, including database design, performance tuning, and security best practices.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex data-related issues.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with data warehousing concepts and methodologies.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms, particularly Microsoft Azure and Snowflake.
- Knowledge of ETL tools and processes.
- Working knowledge of Tableau data flows and Visualizations.
- Developing Reports and Visualizations.

Compensation: $64,000–$86,000
