Job Description

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Apparel Technical Designer to support our product development team. You’ll assist in ensuring garments meet company fit and quality standards, working closely with design, production, and technical teams. This is a great opportunity to grow your technical design skills in both 2D and 3D environments. Experience with Browzwear is a strong plus.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist Senior Technical Designer in maintaining fit and construction standards across product categories.
• Support the development of fit blocks and spec packages with the design team.
• Measure samples and prepare paperwork for fit sessions.
• Participate in fit sessions using live models, dress forms, and 3D software like Browzwear.
• Learn and assist with reading/ processing digital patterns.
• Help document and communicate fitting notes and revisions.
• Support in reviewing resubmitted samples and updating specifications as needed.
• Contribute to the evaluation of fit consistency and competitive benchmarking.
• Collaborate and communicate daily with cross-functional teams including Design, Production, and Quality teams to ensure product readiness.
• Track and update sample approvals across all development stages (Proto, Fit, PP, TOP), ensuring statuses are accurately logged and shared with Design, Production, and Sourcing teams.
• Maintain daily communication with cross-functional teams to align on fit status and product readiness.
• Organize and manage seasonal fit samples by style, season, and approval status; ensure proper tagging, storage, and archiving while tracking all sample movement to maintain an efficient library.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Technical Design, or related field.
• 0–2 years of relevant experience (internship or assistant-level experience a plus).
• Basic knowledge of garment construction, specs, and patternmaking.
• Familiarity with Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Excel, Outlook and PLM.
• Interest or experience in 3D design platforms (e.g., Browzwear V-Stitcher) is a big plus.
• Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to learn quickly and work in a fast-paced environment.
• A passion for technical innovation and design.
