About the Role
We’re expanding and looking for a highly organized, process-driven Junior Account Manager to join our team. This critical role focuses on helping managing client relationships, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, and supporting the successful delivery of our consulting services. You'll have the opportunity to be mentored by our leadership team and grow into an Account Manager role. This role will work directly with our founder, Mike, and will meet in person with him regularly at our Kensington office (weekly as needed in the beginning).
Key Responsibilities
- Client Relationship Management: Act as the primary point of contact for assigned clients. Ensure consistent, timely communication, and proactively manage expectations and needs.
- Project & Deliverable Oversight: Coordinate and track deliverables across teams. Ensure that project milestones and client commitments are met on time and with high quality.
- Process & Operations Management: Develop, implement, and improve internal workflows, documentation standards, and operational procedures to increase efficiency and consistency.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with sales, marketing, and leadership to align on client strategy, performance metrics, and deliverables.
- Reporting & Analysis: Monitor account health, compile performance reports, and identify areas for improvement or strategic opportunity.
- Market Presence: Represent Kensington Sales Group at industry trade shows, conferences, and client meetings.
- Continuous Learning: Stay current on industry trends, competitive landscape, and best practices. Be open to feedback and committed to continuous professional development.
Qualifications
- Client Services or Account Management Experience: 1+ years of experience in B2B account management, project coordination, or operations in a consulting, SaaS, or professional services environment.
- Process-Oriented Mindset: Demonstrated ability to create structure, manage details, and optimize workflows in a client-facing environment.
- Strong Communicator: Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable presenting updates, leading client calls, and communicating across teams.
- Self-Starter with High Ownership: Proactive, reliable, and able to work independently with minimal supervision in a remote setting.
- Tech Proficiency: Familiarity with project management tools (Asana, ClickUp, or similar), CRMs, Google Workspace, and communication platforms like Slack.
- Problem Solver: Calm under pressure, solutions-focused, and highly dependable when it comes to juggling competing priorities.
- Learning-Oriented: Curious and coachable with the ability to absorb new information quickly and apply it to client interactions.
