Summary

Job Description

As a Software Developer in the Network Services Platform team, you will work to provide secure and efficient platform services in the areas of Kubernetes platform, security, authentication, messaging and databases in a cloud native environment. You will be responsible to provide the best technologies available in those areas. You will continuously analyze the existing systems, identify areas to improve, propose solutions and implement them. You will also assist and mentor members of the R&D community to help adopt and use those newest technologies.

How You Will Contribute And What You Will Learn

  • Researching and evaluating new technologies to improve our product portfolio
  • Collaborating with Product Managers and Architects to define requirements for new features
  • Designing and implementing new features
  • Working in team-based Agile Environment.
  • Interacting with Nokia Support Teams to provide software solutions to field-reported issues

Key Skills And Experience

  • Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field.
  • Strong experience with Linux, Docker, Vagrant, Git, GitLab, Gradle, and Jenkins, along with proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Go, Python, Bash, Ansible, C, and C++.
  • Skilled in researching, evaluating, and integrating new technologies, with a continuous learning mindset and a problem-solving approach.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and a strong ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams while maintaining a customer-focused attitude.
  • Ability to work independently in a collaborative team environment, demonstrating adaptability and professionalism.

Would be nice if you had:

  • Deep expertise in Cloud Native principles, design patterns, and Agile/Scrum software development methodologies, ensuring best practices in modern application development.
  • Strong familiarity with Openshift, GKE, and other Kubernetes platforms, along with hands-on experience in virtualization, containerization, and orchestration using OpenStack, Kubernetes, Docker, and Helm.
  • Solid understanding of security concepts, including PKI, Certificates, TLS, and Authentication, to ensure robust and secure system implementations.
