Summary

Eliot's juvenile justice programming includes a residential network for youth ages 13 to 21 who are court-involved and need placement while awaiting return to court, assessment, or longer-term treatment. These highly structured, self-contained programs offer a comprehensive intervention for juvenile offenders. Eliot's secure program is currently seeking a Youth Advocate Coordinator to provide daily coordination of direct-care staff and youth in executing the plan of the day. Physical and Mental Demands: Frequent walking, standing, bending, reaching and lifting to carry out job responsibilities. Must be able to safely operate a motor vehicle as needed. Ability to work a flexible work schedule contingent upon program needs. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with periods of high stress. Ability to physically carry out Crisis Prevention Intervention techniques. Responsibilities: * Daily coordination of direct-care staff and youth in executing the plan of the day in accordance with program, DYS, DEEC and ECHS policies and procedures. * Participate in the development and implementation of Individual Service Plans of youth. * Promote a team approach with staff and youth * Assist youth with identifying interests and goals. * Develop a positive program environment for the youth and staff. * Attend weekly supervisors' meetings, staff /shift change meetings and facilitate weekly team meetings. * Assign and/or facilitate daily groups. * Submit timely, complete, legible and accurate documentation as required. * Safely transport residents to activities, appointments, school, work, and visits. * Conduct documented supervision of assigned staff. * Serve as an advocate and role model for assigned youth. * Ensure safety and security of the program including security checks. * Conduct and submit staff supervisions and performance evaluations in a timely fashion. * Assist with crisis management and use CPI skills. * Participate in the hiring and training of new program staff. * Assist with the development of program and staff schedules. Ensure that all documentation is completed by the end of shift in accordance with regulatory and ECHS policy and procedures. * Perform other job-related duties as assigned. Qualifications: * Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice or related field completed * Must be over 21 years of age * Valid MA state driver's license * Supervisory experience is preferred! Schedule: Sunday-Thursday 11pm-7am (Friday/Saturday off) Tuesday-Saturday 3pm-11pm (Sunday/ Monday off) Sunday-Thursday 7am-3pm (Friday/ Saturday off) Tuesday-Saturday 11pm-7am (Sunday/ Monday off) Pay Rate: $21.33 hourly
