Summary

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Java Workday Developer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting Java custom programs and enhancing/fixing Workday integrations within our enterprise environment. This role demands strong technical skills, particularly in Java development, Workday integration frameworks, and Unix scripting. You will work closely with internal teams to ensure the seamless, secure, and efficient transfer of HR data across systems, uphold data quality standards, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.


Job Responsibilities

The candidate will be part of the HRS Technical delivery team:

  1. To support Java custom program
  2. To support Workday integration enhancements and defect fixing requests.


1. Java custom pgm support

  • Review and QA the Java objects developed in-house:
  • Java program to filter off non-employee records from the full file before sending to external systems, due to change in approach at the source system from specific data set to subscription model
  • Screen to capture the passphrase and store in Maria db and refer before decrypting the file
  • Encrypt/Decrypt files using Unix script and knowledge of file transfer using SFTP/FTP/CD protocol
  • BIRT reports using Eclipse IDE
  • Experience to write Unix scripts, knowledge on Connect Direct and SFTP protocol are added advantage.


2. Workday Integration enhancements and fixes

  • Comprehend Workday integrations from multiple endpoint systems as well as holistic interchange services rendering effective data quality and dependable exchanges of digital information.
  • Identify, assess, and solve complex business problems for integrating Workday cloud application with external applications across HR, Finance, and other areas where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
  • Basic understanding of the Security Configuration and Business Process set up in the tenant is a must.
  • Analyse, design, build, test and deploy Workday integration including Studio, EIB, and supplement with any 3rd party coding.
  • Support upgrades, changes and modifications, including evaluation of Workday releases.
  • Develop BIRT reports using Eclipse IDE.
  • Experience to write Unix scripts, knowledge on Connect Direct, Control-M job scheduling and SFTP protocol are added advantage.


Job Requirements

  • Minimum degree in IT or computer related subject with a recognized university.
  • Min 10 years of implementation experience in java application development
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in Workday integration development.
  • Excellent English communication and presentation skills – both written and spoken.
  • Effective working relationships with all functional units of the organization.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Detailed testing and documentation skills.
  • Fast learner and able to work independently, as well as a good team player.
