Job Title: Java Support Engineer

Job Location: Chicago, IL

Job Type: Contract

Job Description:

Pay Range: $46hr - $51hr

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and troubleshoot application issues in production.
• Lead troubleshooting, analysis, and resolution of unexpected system behaviors impacting service quality.
• Liaise with stakeholders (technical and business) for problem resolution.
• Communicate issue/resolution status (written and verbal) to project team and management.
• Perform minor production bug fixes.
• Conduct disaster recovery and patch testing.
• Handle data extraction, reporting, and audit activities.
  
  

Knowledge/Skills:

• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Highly motivated, self-directed, and possess solid execution skills.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  
  

Qualifications:

• Strong support experience in Java, Spring Boot, and microservices.
• Experience with Control-M, ServiceNow, and MQ.
• Proficiency in SQL, relational databases, HTML, and ORM technologies such as JPA2 and Hibernate.
• Highly flexible and adaptable to change.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
