We are looking for a Java Software Engineer to join a high-impact development team in Lisbon.

Your Main Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high-quality, maintainable code.
• Implement scalable and secure software architectures.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and deliver business requirements.
• Write unit and integration tests to ensure performance and stability.
• Troubleshoot bugs and optimize applications for maximum speed.
• Document technical systems, processes, and APIs.
• Participate in peer code reviews and contribute to technical decision-making.
• Ensure secure coding practices and compliance with standards.
• Support CI/CD pipeline integration and automation.

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum 3 years in a similar development role.
• Strong knowledge in Java (11/17),️ H2, PostgreSQL,️ Maven, Gradle,️ Jenkins,️ C#, and/or C/C++.
• Solid understanding of secure coding and data protection regulations.
• Experience writing clean, well-documented, and efficient code.
• Good problem-solving skills and attention to technical detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Written and spoken English proficiency required.

Location: Paço de Arcos, Lisbon – Hybrid (3 days on-site)

Start: ASAP

Contract: 12+ months (Renewable)
