What You’ll Do

As a Java Developer, you’ll be at the heart of our tech innovations, building products that matter. Your day-to-day will include:

• Crafting scalable microservices using Java, Spring Boot, or Node.js.
• Partnering with a multidisciplinary team of data engineers, DevOps experts, and stakeholders to create cutting-edge GenAI products.
• Implementing cloud-native architectures on GCP, Anthos/GKE, and other cloud platforms; certifications are a plus.
• Working with modern architectures like SAGA, Event-Driven Architecture, CQRS, Circuit Breaker, Aggregator, Asynchronous Messaging, and Distributed Tracing.
• Designing and implementing reusable frameworks for environment management.
• Troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving complex production issues to ensure seamless delivery.
• Building distributed caching and CDN-based architectures for scalable, high-performance systems.
• Setting up and maintaining best practices for coding, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps-based coding practices.
• Troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving complex production issues to ensure seamless delivery.
• Designing, developing, and optimising high-performance server-side components while implementing observability architectures for monitoring and ensuring seamless resolution of production issues.
• Leading large-scale projects and working in complex environments, liaising with architects and technology boards.
• Focusing on event-driven architectures using Kafka, orchestration and choreography architectures, and automation.
• Developing API computing using tools like Apigee, APIM, or Kong.
• Awareness and hands-on experience with frameworks like Apache Spark is a big plus.
• Knowledge of Android/iOS or Node.js development is an added advantage.
• Mobile app development experience is a big plus.

What Makes You a Fit

Academic Background:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
• At least 6 years of experience (excluding internship) in Java development, focusing on building scalable applications, microservices, and REST APIs.

Technical Expertise:

• Proven experience in Java microservices development with strong hands-on expertise in Java SDK 1.8+, Spring Boot, and REST/SOAP APIs.
• Strong understanding of microservice architectures like SAGA, Event-Driven Architecture, CQRS, Circuit Breaker, Aggregator, Asynchronous Messaging, and Distributed Tracing.
• Experience with distributed systems, multi-threading, concurrency, and performance-tuning approaches.
• Expertise in cloud-native architectures and tools, preferably on GCP, Anthos/GKE, and other cloud services; certifications are preferred.
• Strong experience in CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, containerisation (Docker), and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
• Proficiency in designing large-scale systems and scalable shared-nothing architectures.
• Knowledge of distributed databases like StarRocks DB, Apache Spark, and similar systems.
• Event-driven architectures and familiarity with tools like Kafka.

Extra Skills:

• Knowledge of Quarkus is a big plus.
• Awareness of mobile app development (Android/iOS) and backend frameworks like Node.js.
• Proven ability to lead teams of 10+ developers/senior developers and deliver large-scale projects.
• Experience in complex environments working with architects and technology boards.
• Industry experience in large-scale Fintech, Payments, or Digital Banking domains.
• Exposure to API gateways like Apigee, APIM, or Kong.
