Seeking an experienced Java Payment Architect to lead the design and implementation of scalable, secure payment solutions. The candidate will leverage expertise in Fiserv's payment systems or similar platforms to develop innovative payment architectures, ensuring seamless integration, compliance, and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and development of payment processing architectures using Java, ensuring high availability, scalability, and security.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (business, technical, security) to define payment system requirements.
• Integrate with Fiserv payment processing solutions or equivalent payment gateways, APIs, and frameworks.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards such as PCI DSS, EMV, ISO 20022, and PSD2.
• Develop technical specifications, system architecture diagrams, and detailed implementation roadmaps.
• Troubleshoot, optimize, and improve existing payment workflows and system performance.
• Provide technical mentorship to development teams and ensure best practices in code quality and architecture.
• Stay updated on emerging payments technology trends and incorporate them into the architecture.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Proven experience designing and implementing payment platforms or large-scale financial systems.
• Strong expertise in Java, APIs, Microservices, REST/SOAP services.
• Hands-on experience with Fiserv payment solutions or similar platforms (e.g., First Data, Visa, MasterCard processing systems).
• Familiarity with payment security standards (PCI DSS, EMV).
• Knowledge of database systems, messaging protocols (such as MQ, Kafka), and cloud environments is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
