Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Backend or Full-stack Developer to join our project with a leading global insurance company. You will play a key role in developing and managing an application designed to onboard and oversee sales partners, including agents and brokers. The application is a tailored, independent solution that features a complex validity date model and supports structured data management across multiple business units.

You will work in a collaborative, cross-functional international team, contributing to the architecture, development, and deployment of high-quality software solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend components with a focus on performance and scalability.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code.
• Develop new features and functionalities as per business needs.
• Participate in system architecture and design discussions.
• Prepare technical documentation and design specifications.
• Write unit tests and maintain high code quality.
• Debug issues and resolve defects effectively.
• Conduct peer code reviews for adherence to best practices.
• Identify and address application vulnerabilities.
• Collaborate closely with frontend developers for seamless system integration.
• Work with DevOps teams to ensure smooth deployment and scalability.
• Design and implement workflow automation using Camunda BPM.
• Manage and optimize BPMN workflows and DMN decision tables in Camunda.
• Troubleshoot and enhance Camunda process automation configurations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Backend or Full-stack Developer, preferably with insurance domain exposure.
• Proficiency in Spring Boot 3, Java 17 or newer, and Maven.
• Experience with PostgreSQL, Jenkins, Sonar, Dynatrace, Kubernetes, Mockito, IntelliJ IDEA, and GitHub.
• Hands-on experience with Camunda BPM (v7 or v8), including BPMN, DMN, and REST APIs.
• Knowledge of Angular (TypeScript), AWS, and Kafka is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork capabilities.
