Specific Duties Of The Position Include

• Developing (Hands on) performance-critical, low-latency and high-throughput, multithreaded systems using Core Java/J2EE technologies for Global Link’s suite of Trading Platform / Settlement products.
• Designs, develops and maintain Enterprise applications and API frame works for end to end integration.
• design/development/testing/support activities by effectively coordinating with multiple stakeholders globally
• Developing server-side Java code for web applications in an Enterprise environment, utilizing popular J2EE application servers such as WebSphere, Tomcat
• Developing databases using SQL, PLSQL.
• Developing components using frameworks like Spring, Cache, Messaging etc. and ORM tools like Hibernate;
• Testing the interfaces using testing frameworks like Junit, Mockito, PowerMock etc.
• Experience with designing JMS MOM systems like rabbit MQ/Sonic MQ/ Active MQ/Kafka
• Integrating with various sub systems like FIX engines, messaging layers
• Taking ownership
  
  
  

Primary Skills (Must Have)

• Bachelor’s or its equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field; and 10-14 years of experience developing financial technology
• Demonstrated experience developing server-side Java code for a web application in an Enterprise environment utilizing a popular J2EE application server including Websphere, Tomcat
• Demonstrated experience with database development using Oracle, Postgress including SQL, PLSQL, and ORM tools like Hibernate or ibatis
• Excellent knowledge of core Java and Java data structures, knowledge of OOPS, collections, API, design patterns
• Qualified developers should have solid working knowledge of
• Spring
• Java APIs like JMS and JTA
• Demonstrated knowledge of Java multi-threading and thread management and Concurrent API.
• secure coding principles and web security concerns
• web services
• other common open source libraries
• Strong Java 1.8 core features such as functional programming, RxJava and Lambda
• Demonstrated experience with Caching technologies such as Redis, Hazelcast
• Experience with build tools like ANT/Maven and container based tools like Docker.
• Good knowledge in any version control systems like Perforce, GIT, BitBucket etc.
• Able to test the interfaces using testing frameworks like Junit, Mockito, PowerMock etc.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills. Ability to connect the dots in complex system architecture
• End to end SDLC knowledge and working experience with CI CD is important
• Ability to work with global teams
  
  

Secondary Skills (Good To Have)

• Demonstrated experience with React.js or a similar single-page Web UI framework
• Demonstrated knowledge of HTML5, CSS, JavaScript / ES6
• Experience with NoSQL databases like MongoDB or Couchbase, KDB
• Experience in FX trading, SWIFT messaging ,
• Exposure to client side web application development – JavaScript, Angular/React, JQuery, CSS is a major plus
• Knowledge of network protocols(TCP/USP), socket/nio programming is a plus
• Experience in modern engineering practices like Dockers, desktop container, native cloud development is a plus
