Job Description:

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Application Developer with extensive experience in application development, support, and enhancements. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring high-quality deliverables, managing UAT environments, and providing mentorship to junior team members. This role requires strong technical expertise in Java, SQL, and modern web frameworks, along with excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Direct Responsibilities:

• Application Development: Design, develop, support, and enhance applications, ensuring they meet business requirements and quality standards.
• Testing: Prepare high-quality test plans and conduct unit and functional testing. Conduct integration and regression tests as required.
• Progress Reporting: Regularly report progress to the Team Lead/Manager and escalate issues as necessary.
• Mentorship: Review the work of junior team members, providing guidance and support to enhance their skills.
• Release Management: Manage monthly releases in collaboration with the team, ensuring smooth deployment and minimal disruption.
• UAT Management: Oversee UAT environments, coordinating with the support team to keep environments up-to-date.
• Support Ticket Management: Track L3 support tickets until closure, ensuring timely resolution of issues.

Contributing Responsibilities:

• Standards Compliance: Ensure adherence to project and organizational standards throughout the software development life cycle.
• Deadline Management: Meet deadlines for deliverables while keeping the Team Lead informed of any issues that may impact project timelines.

Technical & Behavioral Competencies:

• Technical Skills:
• Proficient in Java (versions 8, 11, 17)
• Strong knowledge of Oracle SQL/PL SQL
• Experience with Angular (version 8+) and JavaScript
• Familiarity with Spring Core, Boot, Batch, and Integration
• Understanding of enterprise application architecture
• Experience with web servers such as Tomcat and WebLogic
• Proficient in GIT, Maven, Jenkins, Ansible, Antifactory, and Sonar

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
• Experience: Minimum of 7 years of experience in application development and support.
