Java/J2EE Developer III (Multiple Openings)
Job Duties: Utilize advanced theoretical knowledge of subject matter principles and concepts, as well as experience with Java/J2eE tools and technologies, to assist Project Manager in monitoring activities of project team members who design, develop, test and support Java/J2EE applications. Responsibilities include the following:
1. Coordinate modification of existing software to correct errors, allow it to adapt to new hardware, or to improve its performance;
2. Coordinate and monitor activities associated with the development of software system testing and validation procedures, programming, and documentation;
3. Work with systems analysts, engineers, programmers and others to design system and to obtain information on project limitations and capabilities, performance requirements and interfaces;
4. Participate in and monitor consultations with customers regarding software system design and maintenance;
5. Coordinate software system installation and monitor equipment functioning to ensure specifications are met;
6. Obtain and evaluate information on factors such as reporting formats required, costs, and security needs to determine hardware configuration.
Minimum requirements: Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Applications, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or a related field, and 3 years of experience in the job offered or in a related position. In the alternative, employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Applications, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or a related field, and 5 years of progressive, post-degree experience in the job offered or in a related position. Any suitable combination of education, training or experience is acceptable.
No travel or telecommuting. Position is project-based at various unanticipated work sites within the U.S. and relocation may be required at the end of each long-term project.
