Summary

Overview

BRMi is seeking a Software Developer to design, develop, and maintain applications, databases, and APIs that support informatics core data workflows and resource dissemination. This individual will focus on developing and maintaining web applications, including both front-end and back-end components, with a focus on scientific data visualization and user interaction.

**Will ocassionally need to come onsite to NIH sites in Maryland**

**Only eligible for candidates in the DC Metro Area (DC, MD, and VA)**

Salary: 120k-135k based on experience

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain web applications and backend services.
  • Develop APIs, user interfaces, and database integration.
  • Implement DevSecOps pipelines, CI/CD workflows, and cloud/hybrid deployments.
  • Ensure application security, scalability, and performance.
  • Collaborating with other developers and stakeholders to deliver high-quality software.
  • Implementing automated tests and ensuring the quality and reliability of the software.
  • Support the development of software solutions that align with NCATS's mission.
  • Perform Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Master's Degree Prefered, Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field required.
  • 7+ years of experience as a software developer.
  • Proficiency in Angular, Java, Python, JavaScript (React/Node.js), Hibernate, and Ketcher.
  • Proficiency in Oracle, PostgreSQL, SQL/NoSQL, and MariaDB databases.
  • Experience with cloud platforms and containerized environments.
  • Excellent communication skills for collaboration and documentation.
