Java Developer | Anti Money Laundering

We’re looking for a Java Developer / Application Support Engineer to join a dynamic team responsible for Embargo Screening – a key application that screens payments and customer data, ensuring compliance with international regulations.

This is not your standard dev job – you’ll dive into both development and operational excellence, working on multiple projects that directly influence how critical financial data flows securely across borders.

JOB SUMMARY

• Configure and deploy application packages across environments
• Collaborate closely with business analysts to translate requirements into actionable solutions
• Implement enhancements in the embargo screening application
• Communicate with infrastructure and support teams to ensure smooth delivery
• Contribute to the full development lifecycle – from design to maintenance
• Mentor junior colleagues and support knowledge-sharing within the team

WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU

• Experience with development on Open Systems or application deployment
• Solid skills in Java, Linux/Unix, and Oracle/PostgreSQL
• Familiarity with REST/SOAP APIs, MQ Series, JBoss/WebSphere, and Kafka is a big plus
• Passion for both building and supporting stable, secure, and scalable applications
• Team spirit, a proactive mindset, and a readiness to mentor others
• English for daily communication
