Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced JAMF Engineer to manage and support our Apple macOS environment using JAMF Pro tools. The ideal candidate should have 5 to 8 years of experience in imaging devices, application management, and endpoint configuration using JAMF. The engineer will be responsible for the lifecycle management of Apple devices, including configuration, deployment, patching, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Utilize JAMF Pro tools to image, configure, and deploy macOS devices.
Create and manage device profiles, policies, scripts, and application packages within JAMF.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Apple devices, JAMF policies, and software deployment.
Implement and maintain security standards and compliance for Apple endpoints.
Work with stakeholders to ensure seamless onboarding and provisioning of Apple hardware.
Support zero-touch deployment initiatives using Apple Business Manager (ABM) and JAMF integrations.
Automate tasks and workflows to improve endpoint management efficiency.
Provide support for end-users and work closely with helpdesk teams for escalated Apple device issues.
Monitor JAMF environment health, perform upgrades, and apply best practices.
Requirements
5–8 years of hands-on experience in JAMF Pro tools and Apple device management.
Proven experience in imaging and provisioning macOS devices.
Strong knowledge of macOS, Apple hardware, and MDM protocols.
Experience with Apple Business Manager (ABM), DEP, and VPP.
Proficient in scripting (Bash, Shell, or Python preferred).
Knowledge of application packaging and deployment.
Familiarity with compliance tools and standards (CIS benchmarks, etc.) is a plus.
Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
JAMF certification (e.g., JAMF Certified Tech/Admin) is a plus.
Nice To Have
Experience with Intune or other MDMs in a hybrid environment.
Knowledge of enterprise networks and security practices.
Experience in supporting a remote workforce.
