In accordance with our client’s needs, we are currently seeking a IWE - INTERNATIONAL WELDING ENGINEER.

Responsibilities:

• Act as welding Supervisor (Manual welding / Robot welding / other metal works)
• Implementation of DIN EN 15085-2
• Knowledge about DIN EN 3834-2 (Quality requirements on fusion welding)
• Implementation of DIN EN 9712 Level 2 (Non Destructive testing)
• Implementation of welding procedure qualification 151614-1 Carbon Steel Welding / 151614-12 Spot Welding
• Train welder on DIN EN 5817 “Quality Level for Imperfections”
• Perform and plan welder qualification tests DIN 9606-1 (butt weld / fillet weld)
• Assure welding quality during the production process under DIN EN 15085-2 with functional power to direct the workers.
• Create and maintain work and inspection instructions
• Responsible for the welder certificates, (follow up the recertification).
• Educate and certificate new welders for shop floor.
• Perform Audits according to ISO 9001 / IRIS and 15085-2.
• Performing internal audits (e.g. process monitoring).

Requirements:

• Skilled mechanical engineer with Bachelor, Master or similar qualification
• Diploma as welding engineer is a must IWE (International Welding Engineer)
• 3 years of practical experience
• Independently working in a framework given.
• Knowledge of norms and standards
• Preferably first leadership experience, at least the readiness for leadership.
• Self-confident manners (internally and with customers/suppliers) and good communication abilities.
• Capability of programming a welding robot (preferable Panasonic)
• English fluent, German is a benefit
• Software knowledge: MS Office applications, ERP software (preferably SAP R/3)
• Personal Skills: Initiative, teamwork, leadership, flexibility and organizational skills
• 3-6 months training in our main plant in Germany is required
