Position Type: Technology Date Posted: 5/8/2025 Location: District Wide   Additional Information: Show/Hide Position: IT Technician I Hours: Monday thru Friday, Full Time, 12 Months Start Date: July 1, 2025 Pay $26.32 to $35.53 dependent on qualifications and based on the Non-Affiliated Handbook Benefits: Medical, Dental, Life and other benefits in accordance with the Non-Affiliated Summary of Benefits Required Qualifications: * Two-year degree in an accredited technology program, A+ Certification, Google certification, or equivalent of education and experience preferred. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required: * Ability to communicate and interact with district staff and students in a professional and courteous manner.\\ * Strong customer service skills. * Ability to communicate technology procedures clearly to users. * Maintain confidentiality and data privacy across all district systems while working with district staff, students, parents, and co-workers. * Strong project management skills. * Ability to learn rapidly changing technology. * Ability to troubleshoot, maintain, repair, and upgrade hardware and software. * Ability to work independently while taking direction from Manager or Helpdesk Supervisor. * Ability to prioritize and multitask between various job duties. * Working knowledge of Microsoft operating system, Google OS and mobile devices. * Skilled in supporting multiple forms of technology. * Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills in complex systems and complex issues. Job Responsibilities: * Answer help desk calls; diagnose software and hardware issues via telephone, on-site or remote assistance in a timely and efficient manner. Provide level one desktop support which may include, update and install software as needed, repair computer hardware, such as memory, drives, video cards, etc. troubleshoot network connectivity issues in a wired and wireless environment. * Setup, install and provide level one support with various technologies throughout the district, this includes interactive white boards, interactive projectors, touch-screen displays, document cameras, scanners, printers, projectors, computers, laptops, Chromebooks, iOS devices, and other technologies. * Provide level 1 support for district applications- this includes email (Google), Google Apps, student systems (Edupoint Synergy), staff and student login issues, testing, and a variety of other education-related software. * Document daily communication transactions, problems, actions taken, and installation activities. * Identify and escalate situations requiring urgent attention, notify manager or supervisor of complex problems or trends, provide solutions and recommendations. * Other duties as assigned. Physical Requirements: * Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, operate a computer and other office equipment, reach with hands and arms, and must occasionally lift and/or move up to 45 pounds. Vision abilities required include close vision and color discrimination. * Must have access to transportation and ability to support technology at all District sites.
