What is the role about?

As an IT Systems Engineer at Bitvavo, you will play a crucial role in administering and supporting our core and backbone IT tools, ensuring the stability and efficiency of our systems. This position, reporting directly to the Head of IT, is designed for an IT expert skilled in managing a wide range of technologies, particularly those central to Bitvavo’s operations. You will provide advanced technical support, contribute to major IT projects, and ensure that all IT systems function seamlessly.

How will you make an impact?

• Design and manage core IT systems, developing robust solutions that support both current needs and future growth.
• Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues across systems like Google Workspace, CrowdStrike, Okta, and many more.
• Oversee endpoint management using MDM tools like Kandji and Intune, ensuring high standards of configuration, security and compliance.
• Manage Workspace settings, enforcing security policies such as DLP, phishing protection, and multi-factor authentication.
• Handle user provisioning and deprovisioning processes, ensuring secure and efficient onboarding and offboarding processes.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for IT processes, system configurations to support troubleshooting and enhance IT support services.
• Analyze and address recurring technical problems, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions to improve IT support processes.
• Participate in continuous service improvement by driving and engaging in IT projects aimed at enhancing IT infrastructure and services.
• Support the team by sharing knowledge, and providing assistance, and reducing their workload through high-level implementations and expert-driven solutions.
  
  

How will you be successful?

• 5+ years of experience in IT administration, with proven expertise in managing critical IT systems and environments.
• Strong knowledge of common IDP & IAM systems, MDM solutions, SaaS platforms and cloud services.
• Good understanding of ITIL framework and proficiency in ITSM tools such as Jira or Freshservice.
• Effective problem-solving skills, with a practical approach to troubleshooting complex technical challenges.
• Knowledge of scripting or managing IaaS with low to no code solutions is desirable.
• A self-starter with the ability to work independently and take ownership of responsibilities.
• A collaborative team player, eager to assist colleagues and drive solutions from start to completion.
