Summary: Serves as technical and analytical resource for utilization of technologies to create and maintain custom applications for business processes in accordance with programming standards, procedures and best practices. Acting as a liaison between IT staff and internal or external clients, to coordinate strategies for application development by documenting requirements, defining scope and objectives, and formulates systems to parallel overall business strategies. Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within the HealthCare industry. Formal Education Required: a) Associate Degree or may substitute with 2 years of like experience. Experience & Training Required: a) Six months performing same or similar responsibilities. Relevant project management, healthcare options, business analysis, and working knowledge of Health Insurance Payment systems and processes, such as AMISYS Advance. b) Experience with all or most of the following: Applications: Health Insurance Payment systems interfaced applications, Visual Studio, Team Foundation System, IIS, SharePoint Programming Languages: SQL, Visual Basic.NET, C#.NET, XML, ASP, HTML, JavaScript, Perl Databases: Relational Database knowledge/experience with SQL Server, including Reporting Services, Analysis Services, Integration Services. Knowledge of Oracle DBMS and Application Suite Other Software: Visio, Microsoft Office, MS Access, Microsoft Project Other Skills, Competencies and Qualifications: a) Apply principles of logical thinking to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions using agile/scrum practices. b) Work effectively with large amounts of data. c) Demonstrate strong analytical ability and attention to detail. d) Maintain current knowledge of project management terminology, techniques, concepts, and software applications. e) Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills and show ability to interface with staff at all levels. f) Work effectively in a team-related environment. g) Organize and manage time to accurately complete tasks within designated time frames in fast paced environment. h) Maintain current knowledge of and comply with regulatory, departmental, and company policies & procedures. i) Maintain confidentiality of member health information and business information. j) Flexible: ability to adjust work hours to meet business demands.
