Summary

General Function The Deskside Technician is an enterprise position that assists team members and Client partners with technical support of end user computers, applications, and related technologies in the form of tickets and projects. Support includes, installation, and troubleshooting of computer systems and peripherals within established standards and guidelines. Activities require interaction with application software and operating systems to diagnose and resolve unique, non-recurring problems. The position utilizes one-on-one consultancy to end users and team members. The position’s responsibilities require independent analyses, communication and problem solving. Work is performed with little supervision and requires initiative and judgment. Positions Requirements · Providing deskside support services for the hardware and software of the organizations' employees in both a manufacturing and office environments. · Experience as a 2rd level escalation partner for issues originating at the service desk · Testing of computer hardware, software and peripherals as needed for project or support roles · Identify and problem solve issues that affect end user computing · Offer recommendations on upgrades needed to hardware and software packages · Be familiar with desktop and server antivirus applications in an enterprise environment · Have in-depth knowledge of Windows operating systems: Windows 7, Windows 10 · Have in-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office, all versions · Basic level of understanding with networking · Basic level of understanding with wireless devices · Basic level of understanding with mobile devices (Android, Apple - Phones & Tablets) · Be familiar with desktop security practices · Have experience with printing in an enterprise environment · Have experience with workflow driven by service tickets · Have experience in dealing with multiple levels of customers, from entry level to executives · Be flexible with shift offerings as we support a 24/7 production environment at multiple sites. Some 2nd or 3rd shift opportunities will be required at times. Professional Competencies · 2-3 Years’ experience with increasing technical difficulty · Professional certifications (A+, CISSP, MCSA, BSCE, etc) · Ability to work without supervision · Good communications skills, on the phone and in person · Initiative · Ability to multi task · Good problem solving skills · Excellent customer service · Ability to perform under pressure Job Type: Full-time Pay: From $25.00 per hour Benefits: 401(k) Dental insurance Health insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Schedule: 8 hour shift Work Location: In person
