Summary

Summary Under limited supervision, acts as the primary Campus resource for installations, maintenance, and troubleshooting for workstations, printers, phone system, email and network and server support. Essential Functions * Perform set-up, and installation of desktops, laptops, printers, all-in one shared print devices, projectors, and VoIP phones. * Perform on-site analysis, diagnosis, and resolution of workstation, printer, email, phone, and some basic network issues (e.g., routers, firewalls). * Receive and respond to incoming calls, chats, emails, and tickets from IT Help Desk * Applications regarding user issues within the scope of responsibilities. * Manage time efficiently to make sure SLA's are met. * Liaise with vendors and 3rd party support resources as needed to troubleshoot and resolve issues. * Promote and adhere to departmental and organizational information security policies, standards and procedures. * Fulfill project-related tasks assigned by supervisor. * Prepare student computers to meet academic requirements. Reviews conducted to determine updates needed. Assisting in the organizing and preparation for those systems to deliver the required academic environment. * Assist IT Operations with deploying new equipment at the campus locations. Working with corporate tech teams to define and deliver major infrastructure changes geared toward improving performance of on-campus environments. * Serve as primary resource for On-boarding new employees and temporary worker's/consulting resources including all office hardware and email and user IDs. Includes termination processing. * Perform certain activities with regard to security systems on campus in support of HR and Security team requests. * Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned. Knowledge / Skills * Experience with all iterations of the following software: * Microsoft Windows * Windows Server * Microsoft Office * CompTIA Certification highly recommended * Microsoft certifications highly recommended * Project Management Certification a plus * Mac OSX and VMware a plus * Strong people skills * Excellent customer service * Good written and verbal communication skills * Self-motivated and can work in a team environment with little supervision * Ability to handle multiple tasks and challenging priorities * Hands-on experience with Microsoft Windows Operating Systems and Office software products * Basic working knowledge of VoIP * Basic understanding of imaging, internet, telecommunications setup and diagnostics * Basic understanding of virtualization both servers and desktops * Basic understanding of PC over IP (PCoIP) * Basic knowledge of routers and firewalls Qualifications Education and Work Experience * High School diploma or GED Required * Bachelor's Degree in Technology related field of study or a minimum of four (4) years hands-on experience with Microsoft based workstations, laptops, printers, server environments.
