JOB SUMMARY: Family Bridges is seeking a self-motivated, energetic IT Support Specialist to provide exceptional IT support to our multiple program sites in Oakland. The IT Support Specialist is responsible for implementation, maintenance and support of the technology systems that Family Bridges uses. The primary duties include responding to hardware and software problems, updating system software, and tracking the data and communications used on their network.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide technical support to staff members and troubleshoot computer problems in a timely manner
Review diagnostics and assess the functionality and efficiency of systems
Implement security measures
Monitor security certificates and company compliance of requirements
Provide support to company staff on VoIP phone systems
Install and update company software and hardware as needed
Anticipate and report the cost of replacing or updating computer items
All other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
Associate degree in related field - preferred
Bi-lingual in Cantonese / Mandarin - preferred
Experience in and knowledge of technology
Working knowledge of relevant operating systems, software, and programming
Extensive PC hardware experience
In-depth understanding of Microsoft Windows
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Effective communication skills, including speaking, writing, and active listening
Self-starter and team player
Good organization, time management, and prioritization
Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
Keen attention to detail
High aptitude for learning
Efficient troubleshooting abilities
ADA REQUIREMENTS:
Vision 20/20 w/correction
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written required
Mobility – walk / travel to 5 sites
Able to work on weekends and early / late shifts
To lift a minimum of 20 lbs
SALARY RANGE: The target hourly rate for this position is $31.30 to $33.70+ per hour. Compensation and benefits will vary based on employment status and scheduled work hours. The final hourly rate will be determined based on the candidate's education, experience, and skill proficiency.
