Full-Time (Monday-Friday 8am - 4:30pm, Weekend and Holiday On-Call Rotation)
Position Summary:
Responsible for front-line support of Information Technology, acting as central point for all IT customers and employees. Perform IT Operation tasks as required to support lab organization and clients.
Responsibilities:
* Provide on-site and remote IT support for Customer Interface Systems and internal users, including first and second-level helpdesk assistance.
* Manage day-to-day system operations to prevent outages; assist with backups, restorations, and PC replacements.
* Install, configure, and maintain system and PC hardware; coordinate hardware/software upgrades and imaging of new/replacement systems.
* Support and maintain office automation hardware, peripheral devices (label and laser printers), and connectivity for clients (PSC, RRL, IOP).
* Ensure system and data security across all levels; participate in disaster recovery planning and hardware contingency management.
* Respond to support tickets via Service Manager, Track-It, and helpdesk calls; document all incidents, serial numbers, and asset tags.
* Train clients on CompuNet applications (e.g., Atlas) in person or via WebEx; assist Sales in identifying connectivity solutions.
* Maintain and audit inventory of all client and internal equipment; report discrepancies to the Compliance Officer.
* Dispose of IT assets per company policy; ensure compliance with internal, departmental, and regulatory procedures.
* Participate in a rotating on-call schedule to support systems including Quest, Sunquest, QLS, CoPath, SAM, Imaging/OnBase, and more.
* Collaborate with CompuNet staff and managers for IT support, training, and project needs; assist with other duties as assigned to support departmental goals.
Qualifications:
* Associate's degree in IT or Computer Science preferred, with 5 years of related experience.
* Proficient in PCs and Microsoft Office applications.
* Required experience in installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining networked PCs.
* Preferred experience with personal computer installation/maintenance and LAN TCP/IP.
* Excellent written, verbal, and customer service skills.
Physical and Safety Demands:
* Potential exposure to electrical hazards during PC work, as well as biohazards and chemicals in lab environments.
* Must meet vehicle insurance requirements and hold a valid Ohio driver's license.
* Capable of lifting up to 25 pounds.
* Adhere to all safety, ergonomic, and health policies, including proper PPE use in lab or biohazard areas.
* Complete safety training and health evaluations promptly.
* Anticipate safety hazards, act upon unsafe situations and promote safety awareness.
