Summary

We’re looking for a talented IT Specialist/ IT Network Administrator who has the experience necessary to troubleshoot, optimize and extend our IT infrastructure, including desktops and laptops. The ideal candidate will perform network administration and planning for all aspects of IT-network administration (including network equipment, server integration, and software applications).


Main Responsibilities:

  • Installs, configures and provides technical support for desktops and/or notebooks according to internal standards;
  • Provides primary technical support for peripheral IT equipment (scanners, printers, etc);
  • Uses infrastructure management and remote connection applications to operate remotely;
  • Solves problems assigned through internal Helpdesk applications;
  • Resolves incidents reported by internal users;
  • Installs, configures, troubleshoots, and upgrades computer hardware, operating systems, and applications;
  • Provide technical assistance and support for incoming queries and issues related to computer systems, software, and hardware remotely and on site;
  • Identifies, researches, and resolves technical problems for end users on a variety of issues;
  • Maintenance and monitoring of computers, networks and systems to ensure optimal performance;
  • Testing and evaluation of new technology;
  • Installs fixed VoIP phones;
  • Manage and administrate internal inventory for licenses and IT equipment;
  • Internal WIFI routers management;
  • Create users in Active Directory and Office 365 management console;
  • Anticipates and reports the cost of replacing or updating computer items;
  • Ensures data storage is safe and secure;
  • Educates coworkers about network security and best practices for computer usage;


Candidate’s Qualifications and Competencies:

  • 5+ years of experience in a similar role for a matrixed organization;
  • 3+ years of experience providing minimum level 1 helpdesk support in IT operations – is a plus;
  • Proven knowledge of Active Directory and Microsoft Office365 Admin Center;
  • Demonstrated experience in the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office 365.
  • Ability to differentiate problems caused by software, hardware, communications network;
  • Strong knowledge about standard diagnostic applications (ping, tracert, etc.);
  • Knowledge of computer architecture and peripherals and the ability to search for drivers and firmware needed for them;
  • Microsoft Windows server administration and knowledge about virtualization systems (VMware, Hiper-V) is a plus;
  • English language – medium proficiency;
  • Driver license – B category;
  • Local and national travel availability.
