Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled IT Security Engineer who possesses a deep understanding of security concepts beyond the buzzwords. The ideal candidate will be able to describe how security mechanisms work and should work and provide situational recommendations on securing commonly used connection types. Responsibilities: * IT Security Engineer will make informed security recommendations, understanding the tradeoffs involved * Apply in-depth knowledge of the OWASP Top Ten to real-world scenarios * Implement secure coding practices in at least one programming language * Demonstrate comprehensive system security knowledge * Ensure data security across various platforms * Secure APIs effectively * Implement network security measures * As an IT Security Engineer, you will apply Zero Trust principles in system design and implementation * Implement security in depth within systems * Understand and apply the software security lifecycle or DevSecOps practices * Read, interpret, and offer remediation advice on code scans, prioritizing remediation efforts* Proven ability to make security recommendations and understand tradeoffs * In-depth knowledge of the OWASP Top Ten and its real-world applications * Experience with secure coding practices in at least one programming language * Strong system security knowledge * Solid understanding of data security principles * Expertise in API security * Proficiency in network security * Knowledge of Zero Trust principles and their implementation * Ability to implement security in depth * Familiarity with the software security lifecycle or DevSecOps * Ability to read, interpret, and offer remediation advice on code scans, with a focus on prioritization Preferred Qualifications: * Relevant certifications in cybersecurity * Experience with security tools and technologies * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills * Excellent communication and teamwork abilities If you are passionate about security and meet the above requirements, we encourage you to apply and join our team in ensuring the highest standards of security across our systems.
