Description

We are seeking a skilled IT Security Engineer to join our team at CMS Legal Services.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Microsoft technologies, cybersecurity, networking, firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems and modern security frameworks.


The primary objective is to provide recommendations on security best practices, infrastructure designs and Mobile Device Management (MDM) – both in cloud and on-premises.


The role will report to the Head of IT Infrastructure. The position can be located in Warsaw/Poland or Frankfurt/Germany. You can work up to 50% from home.


Main Responsibilities

  • Design, implement and manage secure network architectures, including but not limited to firewalls, XDR, MFA and other security measures.
  • Administer and secure Windows Active Directory (AD), Entra ID, and Azure environments.
  • Assess and evaluate MDM implementations and configuration policies.
  • Conduct risk assessments, identify vulnerabilities and recommend mitigation strategies.
  • Respond to security incidents and perform root cause analyses.
  • Define technical solutions, support models, policies and establish best practice solutions.
  • Provide local implementation support on-site or via remote service.
  • Collaborate with the (international) Risk and IT teams to improve the IT environment across CMS and to ensure compliance with security policies and industry standards.


Main Requirements

  • 5 years of experience setting up and maintaining security systems, proven expertise in EntraID/AD, networking, firewall, and vulnerability management.
  • proven experience with Microsoft ecosystem, M365, Azure, Defender, Intune, and on-prem AD
  • Strong understanding of security tools SIEM, XDR, Microsoft’s cyber security related technologies (e.g., Sentinel, Purview, Azure).
  • Knowledge of multi-factor authentication (MFA) and identity management best practices.
  • Familiarity with security frameworks and compliance standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, etc.).
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and maintain stakeholder relationships.
  • Expertise in delivering presentations and producing clear and detailed reports for diverse audiences.
  • Ability to work in an international, complex organisation; willingness to travel.
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CCNA Security, Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer, or similar are advantageous.
  • Fluent in English both written and spoken.
