Work Designation. Depending on your location within the continental US, this role may be hybrid or remote.
If you live within 50 miles of the Aflac offices located in Columbus, GA or Columbia, SC, this role will be hybrid. This means you will be expected to work in the office for at least 60% of the work week. You will work from your home (within the continental US) for the remaining portion of the work week. Details of this schedule will be discussed with your leadership.
If you live more than 50 miles from the Aflac offices located in Columbus, GA or Columbia, SC, this role will be remote. This means you will be expected to work from your home, within the continental US. If the role is remote, there may be occasions that you are requested to come to the office based on business need. Any requests to come to the office would be communicated with you in advance.

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business or other IT related degree
Three or more years of work related experience in test automation and software testing (LambdaTest, Kobiton) or related work experience
Or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Principal Duties & Responsibilities
Assists teammates and other business partners on tools, procedures, applications, and policies
Develop, review, and maintain test cases from use cases and epics, technical specifications, and other sources that can be understood and easily followed
Participate in test case reviews with teammates, subject matter experts, and technical resources
Build and review test data to support test efforts
Manage and track application, technical, and operational defects for assignments, projects/programs, networks, app systems, and products. When applicable, analyze and triage issues to determine root cause
Create and maintain manual test cases used for functional testing, system integration testing, smoke testing, regression testing, or other testing scenarios
Investigate problems in software as a result of testing and work with QA analysts and software developers to create solutions
Executes test scripts/cases, communicates the results, prepares and maintains appropriate documentation.
Manage the test environments, testing stations, and test lab configurations to ensure the correct application versions, operating systems, and other third party software are maintained according to testing requirements
Tracks metrics on defects, SDLC Compliance and Root Cause Analysis
Work on multiple assignments across projects and programs as a contributor to the SCRUM team or project team • Report progress and status for all assignments
Validates and documents completion of testing and development processes
Work with leads and management to establish priorities and ensure assignments adhere to deadlines and standards
Provide duration estimates for testing assignments and other project related activities
Support measurable Software metrics
Execute, and enforce corporate and departmental goals, methodologies and procedures.
Keeping updated with the latest industry developments
Collaborate with teammates, business partners and management to develop standardized templates, tools, and procedures
Provide user support for testing and administration tool suites and utilities
Participate in technical and professional training as required
May be asked to perform tasks associated with other positions within or outside the job family to further develop skillset
Performs other related duties as required

This compensation range is specific to the job level and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to: education, experience, licensure, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity. The range has been created in good faith based on information known to Aflac at the time of the posting. Compensation decisions are dependent on the circumstances of each case. This salary range does not include any potential incentive pay or benefits, however, such information will be provided separately when appropriate. The salary range for this position is $45,000 - $105,000.
