JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
The IT Project Manager controls and manages IT projects with cross functional dependencies. Plans, executes, monitors and controls all aspects of the project management (PM) plan. Enforces the change management process, tracks, mitigates, and resolves project risks and issues, manages communications with project stakeholders, and monitors fulfillment of vendor contract deliverables.
ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS:
* Collaborates with senior management and identified stakeholders to define project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals and technical feasibility.
* Acquires resources and coordinates project team allocations and efforts in completing project deliverables according to documented business, functional, and technical requirements.
* Effectively communicates project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.
* Defines project success criteria and disseminates them to involved parties throughout project life cycle.
* Identifies, communicates and tracks risks along with associated mitigation plans.
* Effectively coordinates with and manages expectations and progress of engaged vendors
* Assists IT and Contracting in developing Request for Proposals (RFP) for vendor engagement
* Serves as a Liaison with project stakeholders on an ongoing basis.
* Sets and continually manages project expectations with team members and other stakeholders.
* Plans and schedules project timelines and milestones using selected PM tools.
* Tracks project milestones and deliverables and communicates status to key stakeholders on agreed cadence.
* Conducts project post mortems and creates a recommendations report in order to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.
* Develops best practices and tools for project execution and management.
* Estimates the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals.
* Drafts and submits budget proposals, and recommends subsequent budget changes where necessary.
* Where required, negotiates with other department managers for the acquisition of required personnel from within the company.
* Determines and assesses need for additional staff and/or consultants and make the appropriate recruitment's if necessary during project cycle.
* Directs and manages project development from beginning to end.
* Develops full-scale project plans and associated communications documents.
* Delegates tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel.
* Identifies and resolves issues and conflicts within the project team.
* Identifies and manages project dependencies and critical path.
* Develops and delivers progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations.
* Proactively manages changes in project scope, identifies potential crises, and devises contingency plans.
* Builds, develops, and grows any business relationships vital to the success of the project;
* Consistently and dependably attends work, activities, and functions as scheduled or assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
* Knowledge and direct work experience in a project management capacity spanning the full life-cycle from proposal development to post-implementation closeout.
* Adept knowledge at conducting research into project-related issues and products.
* Proficient knowledge of project management software and/or web-based PPM collaboration tools.
* Proficient knowledge with MS Office tools.
* Persuasive, encouraging, and motivating skills.
* Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
* Demonstrated ability to build high-performing project teams by effectively leading and providing work direction for others.
* Demonstrated ability to conduct business impact and cost/benefit analysis and recommend the appropriate course of action for assigned projects.
* Ability and past experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential.
* Ability to work closely with senior IT and business leaders to ensure delivery expectations are developed, managed, and met.
* Ability to conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
* Ability to be flexible during times of change.
* Ability to read communication styles of team members and contractors who come from a broad spectrum of disciplines.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
* Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Management Information Systems or related field.
* Five (5) years of full time direct work experience in a project management capacity spanning the full life-cycle from proposal development to post-implementation closeout.
* Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
* Certification in ITIL or business analysis preferred.
* Experience in ERP/CRM/SIS implementation preferred.
* Experience with Cybersecurity projects preferred.
* Equivalent combination of education and/or work experience considered.
* Ability to travel between campuses for meetings or position responsibilities.
* Must pass a background check.
