Location: Oakland, CA (Hybrid 2 days a week onsite)

Job Summary

  • We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Project Manager to lead the implementation and rollout of technology projects across our organization. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in project management, technical implementation, and cross-functional team collaboration.
  • This role requires excellent communication skills, a strategic and analytical mindset, and the ability to manage multiple initiatives in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

Project Management:

  • Lead and manage end-to-end technology implementation projects, from initiation and planning through execution, delivery, and post-launch support
  • Define project scope, goals, and deliverables aligned with business objectives
  • Develop detailed project plans, schedules, resource allocation, and risk mitigation strategies
  • Facilitate process mapping, functionality reviews, or other analysis activities to support design and Requirements Development Stakeholder Engagement
  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders to gather and refine requirements
  • Maintain clear and proactive communication with stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle
  • Act as a liaison between technical teams and business units to ensure alignment

Team Collaboration

  • Coordinate cross-functional teams including product managers, developers, QA, UX, and IT operations
  • Facilitate meetings, stand-ups, and retrospectives to drive project momentum and resolve blockers

Training And User Support

  • Partner with change management resources to develop and deliver training materials and documentation for end-users
  • Ensure effective transition planning, including user acceptance testing, training, and communication plans are executed
  • Promote user adoption of new tools and processes

Issue & Risk Management

  • Identify, log, and troubleshoot technical issues, escalating as needed
  • Provide Tier 1/Tier 2 support post-deployment and ensure issues are resolved in a timely manner
  • Proactively manage project risks and dependencies to minimize impact on delivery

Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation including requirements, status reports, and post-mortems
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and present updates to leadership and stakeholders

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in project management, specifically in technology implementation or software development environments
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, or hybrid approaches)
  • Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., Jira, Asana, Smartsheet, MS Project, Trello)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, facilitation, and leadership skills
  • PMP, CSM, Or Other Relevant Certifications Preferred
