MDK, an innovative law firm, is seeking a Product and Program Manager to bridge the gap between MDK’s operations and technology teams. This role combines product management (defining needs and priorities) with project management (ensuring timely execution and alignment with business goals). The ideal candidate will have experience in both areas—strategic enough to create a product roadmap and tactical enough to manage delivery. You’ll collaborate with operations leaders, tech architects, and vendors to drive technology investments that align with business needs. As we embark on a major technology refresh, including modernizing our case management system and AI/ML capabilities, this role will be key in ensuring successful execution.
Please apply with your resume and a brief cover letter outlining your experience in both product and project management.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Product Management (Strategy & Definition)
- Collaborate with operations, legal teams, and technology stakeholders to define business needs and translate them into clear technology requirements.
- Own the product roadmap, prioritizing feature development, new products, and operational tools to align with business goals.
- Evaluate buy vs. build options for technology solutions, balancing customization, cost, and efficiency.
- Advocate for end-users (internal teams and clients), ensuring technology solutions enhance efficiency, accuracy, and decision-making.
- Identify opportunities to integrate AI, automation, and data-driven insights into legal and operational processes.
Project/Program Management (Execution & Delivery)
- Lead cross-functional projects, ensuring timely delivery within scope and business priorities.
- Facilitate collaboration between operations, technology teams, and external vendors to ensure project success.
- Define and track project KPIs, proactively addressing risks and blockers.
- Engage business users throughout the development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to testing and rollout.
- Manage change adoption strategies, ensuring smooth transitions as new technologies are implemented.

- Excellent communication and facilitation skills, able to engage executives, legal teams, technical teams, and vendors.
- Experience managing vendor relationships and evaluating third-party technology solutions.
Nice-to-Have
- Experience with legal tech, case management, or process automation in a law firm or similar industry.
