We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented IT Operations Specialist to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience administering Microsoft Office environments in medium-sized businesses across multiple locations. You will be responsible, as part of a team, for ensuring the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of IT systems, equipment, and support infrastructure, with a primary focus on Microsoft Office 365 and related technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
Administer, configure, and maintain Microsoft Office 365 tenant, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, and security/compliance settings.
Provide Tier 2/3 support for escalated service desk issues related to Microsoft Office products.
Manage user accounts, access permissions, group policies, and licensing through Active Directory and Azure AD.
Monitor system performance and availability, applying patches, updates, and configurations as needed.
Develop and maintain documentation for systems, processes, and procedures.
Collaborate with other IT team members to plan and implement IT projects and improvements.
Ensure compliance with company IT policies, procedures, and security standards.
Support end-user training and onboarding with a focus on Office 365 tools and best practices.
Participate in disaster recovery and business continuity planning and testing.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years of IT operations experience in medium-sized company environments.
Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Office 365 administration.
Proficiency in Active Directory, Azure AD, Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Teams.
Familiarity with Microsoft Intune, endpoint management, and device compliance policies.
Knowledge of networking concepts, Windows Server, and basic scripting (PowerShell preferred).
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or in a team.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate or similar.
Experience with hybrid environments (on-premise + cloud).
Familiarity with ITIL or other IT service management frameworks.
