Overview:
This IT Network Engineer position will join a dynamic and fast-growing global IT organization in San Jose, California, or Kirkland, Washington supporting world-wide operations with major sites in the US, EU, and APAC. This position requires in-depth technical expertise in networking and security-related technologies, as well as IT infrastructure and systems.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
* Implementation, maintenance, monitoring, and support of enterprise networking and InfoSec infrastructure such as routers, switches, firewalls, SDWAN, WIFI, etc.
* Ensure the IT Infrastructure's stability, reliability, scalability, and compliance with security and regulatory requirements globally.
* Perform (WAN/SDWAN/LAN) traffic analysis to diagnose and resolve issues proactively with other IT Network and Systems in Asia and Europe.
* Research and evaluate new networking and InfoSec technologies as required to improve existing infrastructure continuously.
* Develop detailed designs using industry-standard best practices and best-of-breed technologies, working with other IT Systems and Application Engineers.
* Maintain and support core network services like DHCP, DNS, 802.1X, etc.
* Contribute to capacity planning initiatives by monitoring and analyzing network and compute resource usage to plan for hardware upgrades.
* Handle field support and trouble ticket resolution/escalation.
* Mentor junior staff and provide knowledge transfer to team members.
Qualifications
* BS Degree in technical field with 5-8 years of experience and ongoing training in Enterprise IT.
* Proficiency in managing Arista/Aruba/Cisco/Juniper switches, Palo Alto Firewalls, Fortinet Firewall, Palo Alto Panorama, Palo Alto GlobalProtect, SilverPeak SD-WAN, Juniper MIST WiFi, etc.
* Deep knowledge of BGP/OSPF routing protocols.
* SNMP network monitoring.
* Cloud networking expertise in Azure, AWS, and OCI.
* Knowledge of PKI, 802.1X, and IAM.
* Proficient in network security assessment tools.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills (Mandarin Chinese a plus).

Pay is based on market location and may vary based on factors including experience, skills, education and other job-related reasons. The base salary range for this position in Washington is $100,000 - $130,000.
