Division: Group Technology Services (GTS)

You will be part of the Enterprise System Monitoring team as an IT Monitoring System Engineer. This team is within the Production Tribe of the Euroclear Group Technology Services division. The team is responsible for maintaining and supporting the core Production Monitoring infrastructure and its integration with local monitoring tools.

Role

As an IT Monitoring System Engineer for Enterprise System Management, your responsibilities will include:

• Ensuring the daily follow-up of the monitoring infrastructure;
• Participate in the Day-to-Day service support (incident, alerts, changes, …)
• Implement monitoring scenarios/rules/dashboards according to initial IT end-user and technical specialist requirements;
• Develop effective relationships with other key IT experts in the various domains.
• Gradually becoming a specialist in one or several products;
• Integrate watch-duty role and support week-end releases and interventions
  
  

In this role, you will liaise with system engineering teams across various platforms (Linux, Windows, Mainframe, Network, Cloud platforms, …) to understand their monitoring needs and enhance the existing infrastructure.

Your profile

• Hold a Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent through experience.
• Demonstrate a proven interest in monitoring tools and Enterprise System Management solutions.
• Have at least 2 years of expertise with products like Tivoli Monitoring, IBM Netcool Omnibus, Splunk, Cribl, Dynatrace, or other monitoring solutions.
• Appreciate technical challenges while considering customer needs and requirements.
• Exhibit curiosity, openness to discussions, and willingness to engage in technical implementations across a broad range of technologies and solutions.
• Be methodical, well-structured, and proactive.
• Embrace new technologies and products while sharing current expertise with team members.
• Be a team player who values teamwork but can work independently.
• Be open to change and evolution.
• Have working experience in an Agile context.
• Capable of meeting strict deadlines and handling complex situations.
• Stress resistant and constructive whatever the context.
• Knowledgeable in Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Possess strong skills in scripting languages such as Python, Ansible, shell and PowerShell.

Group Technology Services (GTS) plans, builds and runs the global infrastructure of Euroclear, and is additionally responsible for the IT service management to the operating entities of the various Group markets. Group Technology Services operates its IT systems and IT services in such a way that, at an appropriate and benchmarked cost level, it can deliver the agreed levels of service to support the requirements of the business processes, for both normal operations and during disaster recovery.
